Some exciting playground markings are being applied to a range of areas throughout our school today. We have invested approximately $20,000 in thermoplastic markings for students to play on. They include Snakes and Ladders, Number Boards, Hand Ball Squares, Activity Track and fun Letters and Number Squares. These will be ready to go for students to use on their return in Term 3.
As our second term of the year concludes some of the restrictions in response to COVID-19 are beginning to lift. In practical terms however there is little change to the day to day activities in our school. We continue to ask that only parents of anxious or very young students enter the school grounds in an attempt to reduce the number of adults that attend the place where our students learn and play. Parents are still not able to enter classrooms and teachers are to conduct meetings via phone or outside in open spaces. We are able to resume full student assemblies but adults are not able to attend due to the social distancing requirements.
Report cards will be emailed home today to all families. You will notice some slight changes due to the impact that health decisions have had on the teaching and learning process. Some students were not able to be given a level of achievement due to the lack of assessment able to be conducted. You will also notice that HASS has not been assessed this semester.
Yesterday to celebrate the end of a long term all students gathered on the school oval to spell out the letters "EPSS". A drone, that is part of our school Robotics Program, was used to create a great photo.
I wish you and your family a very safe holiday from school and look forward to seeing you next term.
