Hi,

It is great to have our school back to some level of normality after all of the changes that took place. My thanks to those mums and dads who continue to support our school by remaining outside the grounds unless their child is anxious. We are all looking forward to the Queensland Government relaxing this restriction and having our families back into our school grounds.

I have received a number of concerns regarding the use of the "Stop Drop and Go" area of the school in the afternoons. We have a teacher in that area to ensure students are lined up and ready to be collected but they do not have the authority to direct traffic. Concerns regarding the inappropriate use of this area should be directed to Police.

Schools have been directed by Queensland health to send any child or staff member home if they present at school with any illness. I am aware of how a phone call requiring you to pick up your child from school can create a series of. We often run into the problem of the child who presents at sick bay complaining of many ailments and when they arrive home they suddenly feel well. We are not doctors but will always do what we believe is the best for your child.
