Hello
I am fortunate to be able to take the next two weeks as Long Service leave to spend a little bit of time in Adelaide enjoying some of the nice reds they have to offer. During the first week of term three I will be on sick leave for knee surgery. My thanks to Ellen Clayton who will be Acting Principal during this time.
As indicated on our Facebook site our school recently received funding to the value of $184,691.00 for playground repairs. This work will be carried out by the facilities section of State Education Regional Office. The time frame is currently unknown. Despite the large dollar value it does not provide additional or new play facilities. The full amount is to cover repairs and painting of our three existing playgrounds.
We have also been funded to replace part of our school fence. This process is run through Building Asset Services and will be completed over the coming school holidays. The recruitment process for this project is both managed and funded by the Region. We will have 174 meters of our school fence replaced at the cost of $210,589.29 This will replace the fence from the small gate at the front of the Administration building to the small gate at the front of the library.
Additionally work will soon commence on irrigating our school oval. We have invested approximately $25,000.00 to have our oval covered with pop up sprinklers to ensure the students have a safe surface to play their games.
