All year levels receive weekly specialist music lessons.
In the junior years we sing songs and play games. There is a lot of research that goes into choosing these songs, rhymes and the activities that are done with them. This is where we lay the foundations for many more years of music learning and enjoyment.
in the senior years the emphasis shifts from singing and playing untuned percussion to reading music and playing this on an instrument. We primarily use Recorder with an emphasis on melody progressing to the guitar and the concept of harmony.
