Hello Emu Park Families
It is hard to believe we have almost come to the end of Week 4. Our students have returned from the holidays learning about the habit of being grateful. Being grateful is acknowledging the actions of self and others and communicating with positivity and performing acts of kindness.
We continue to welcome new students and families to our wonderful Emu Park State School community. Thank you for choosing to join Emu Park State School and our wonderful community.
Welcome New Staff Members:
I am delighted to introduce our dedicated new staff members to our school community.
Miss Chloe Thomson is our new 1W teacher.
Miss Brandy Nisbett is our new 1J Friday classroom teacher and a LEAP teacher Wednesday and Thursday.
Mrs Courtney Hawkins is our new 6D Monday classroom teacher.
Mrs Angela Dunshae is our new Guidance Officer - Student Wellbeing and will work at our school on Fridays.
Brain Break:
Every day at approximately 10am all students take a pause to eat a healthy snack and have a drink of water. This is a time to refuel and get our brains reactivated for optimum leaning. Being healthy is one of the habits of our Whole+Being program and it is embedded in our daily school routine. Please encourage your child to be healthy and bring a suitable snack to school every day.
KCD Cross Country Results:
Congratulations to Ace, Alex and Logan who proudly represented Emu Park
State School at the KCD Cross Country event this week. These students have progressed to the Rockhampton District Team and will compete in the upcoming Capricorn School Sport Trials.
